How I naturally whiten my teeth without whitening strips

This is how I naturally whiten my teeth without whitening products or whitening strips.
I have not used whitening strips or any whitening product for over five years now. I used to be an avid user and I’m so upset by that lol. You just know it caused so much damage.
There are NO safe whitening products. Whitening products are damaging to your teeth, even those Lumineux whitening strips that every wellness content creator says is “safe for sensitive teeth.” Such phewy. I would neverrrr let those Luminex strips touch my teeth. They have carbomer in it & lemon peel in them which are super drying and acidic for your teeth!
Just say no to ALL whitening strips in general. Even whitening toothpastes are not great.
The key to whitening your teeth naturally is to STRENGHEN your teeth. Get saliva healthier, get teeth stronger and you will see: The healthier your teeth become — the WHITER your teeth become.
The techniques that I employ are from Dr. Ellie Phillips and truth DDS, Dr. Trivedi. I’ve also done a ton of cross referencing. I really care about oral health, I’ve had so much dental work done in my life like I’m ready to be done with this thing. The system is broken (and promotes artificial whitening for crying out loud) and I just don’t trust it anymore.
If I’ve followed all their guidelines and directions over the years and things get WORSE… yeah no. Not for me.
My teeth now are becoming the healthiest they have ever been and I am so so so pleased with the whiteness.
Not medical advice okay! Just sharing my experience and opinion.
WHAT I DO FOR STRONG + WHITE TEETH WITHOUT WHITENING PRODUCTS:
First thing, I’m on a Xylitol routine. Xylitol mints or Xylitol gum at the end of every meal, super good for your saliva. These are my fav!!!
I’m also very cognizant of staining and not letting my front mouth dry out. Meaning I’m constantly licking my teeth. If I’m drinking coffee, if I’m eating, I’m just at my desk — I am licking my teeth. All over. I want to keep my teeth saturated with saliva.
Also I make sure that during the day I try to be more of a nose breather not a mouth breather because I don’t wanna dry out my saliva, that’s how you can damage your teeth. If you’re not talking and eating — nose breath!
Personally I don’t use hydroxyapatite toothpaste. I find it to be just a Band-Aid. It’s just a plug. I used it once for an entire a year and a half. So I REALLY gave it a go. I had horrific things happen to my teeth with hydroxyapatite. My teeth were in the worst condition they have EVER been in. A lot of people will use it, feel good for a while, and then their teeth are not well down the line. I know that’s not the case for everyone, but I’m just telling you right now when it comes to me, I am NOT using hydroxyapatite toothpaste. I don’t think people know the whole story and are just jumping on trends without much research. Unpopular opinion in the wellness space but I’m saying it.
One good tip for ya to consider: I don’t drink super acidic drinks all the time and if I do I rinse with water and have Xylitol mint right after. I don’t let my pH be disrupted for too long.
Last tip for this article: In the afternoon, I let my saliva be unadulterated from 12pm to 2pm or 1pm to 3pm. Your saliva has a circadian rhythm and the minerals are richest in the afternoon, so I make sure to take advantage. This means during these hours I’m not eating or drinking— not even sipping water. One of the best things I’m doing to remineralize my teeth is not eating anything for at least two hours every afternoon.
These things for me have added up and my teeth have gotten so much stronger and as a result, whiter!
