SUPER EASY health-focused life hacks

Remember in magazines growing up how it would have all the TIPS written out? I loved that. Consider this kinda like that.

These are little hacks/tips that are health focused but not perfection focused!! If you strive for perfection life gets boring and rigid and then you sometimes even get lower self esteem because you can’t live up to perfection.

So be EASY. ;)

SUPER SIMPLE HACKS I DO THAT YOU CAN COPY—

Hack 1. If we want a meal out and we both need extra fiber and protein…TWO WORDS: Hot Pot. Tons of Veggies! Tons of meat! If you haven’t tried it it is soooo good.

Hack 2. Three things I keep in my purse: 

+ Xylitol mints for after meals (strengthens teeth)

+ Sunscreen (Do NOT keep it in your car, terrible mistake) Linked my fave tinted mineral ones from Amazon!

+ Something nourishing to the HPA axis in times of true stress. Could be B vitamins, mineral you can pour into water, a mushroom tincture or a CBD gummy (linked here use code KATEY for 15% off)

Hack 3. Give the best version of yourself to the person who loves you the most. Don’t let them get the short end of the stick. Interestingly, this will make you feel better about YOURSELF! <3

Hack 4. When you’re at the desk writing emails, scrolling, making dinner, watching TV, driving…NOSE BREATH! Set a reminder and catch yourself, ya mouth breathing again? It’s totally okay! But let’s try to break the cycle. You’ll have more oxygen in the body. Help your immunity. You’ll hug your nervous system. You’ll even be cuter bc it helps the jawline!

Hack 5. I tend to overeat. Maybe you do too. One way I stop this is praying before I eat. Making that mind-body connection strong in the moment and taking a moment to remember how lucky I am! Overeating has nothing to do with excess calories and everything to do with just feeling like crap after.

Hack 6. People don’t realize how 5 min of legs up the wall is INCREDIBLY life giving. Some days I won’t get much movement but I WILL do legs up and I think to myself, “My lower back loves this. My circulation is happy. My nervous system is thankful. Like…good job, Katey! You could have made excuses to not get on the ground and take 5 min but you did it. YAY!”

Hack 8. When in the sauna, please wear a towel on your head. It gets sooooo hot in there. It is 100% affecting your hair. Protect it. Minimize damage. You won’t catch me in there without a towel on my head!

Stay easy. Stay playful. Keep that inner child fed. That alone and you’ll be a healthier cutie!!!
