Testing your epigenetics can change your life

Epigenetics. Such a fascinating subject and eye opener.
When it comes to your health, you’ll get so many questions answered and so many things validated if you were to test your Epigenetics.
Testing my epigenetics was by far one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself. I had done a ton of research and I knew I wanted to do it through Designer Genes. Blood work can change, but your genes are your genes. You get them tested once and you can reference it for your entire life.
I reference my epigenetics ALL THE TIME.
So here are some interesting things that I have found out (just a few!):
My body prefers to be low carb and higher fat
Genetically, I know that collagen isn’t always going to be the best for me. I know that it doesn’t help me with hair loss and that it can quickly turn into glutamate for me.
I know that my body needs a lot of extra choline. My body doesn’t know what to do with choline, therefore I need way more of it.
I know my neurotransmitters, my HPA access is kind of set up for me to fail, so I greatly need to be on top of it and beyond that I know exactly what supplements help me with stress, with depression, and with anxiety.
I have excellent caffeine genes.
I have a higher need for selenium than most people
My genes also tell me that I do extremely well with low impact workouts. Not to say I don’t lift weight. I do lift weights.
I know that genetically I should be able to get by with about seven hours of sleep, even though I prefer more
I do way better with seed oils than the average person. Not to say I’m pounding seed oils.
It’s amazing! I’ve been able to reference the data often. Every functional medicine doctor, every naturopath, doctors of the like, they all utilize my epigenetic data and love it.
If you can save up for it it’s worth it! I saved up for a full year to do it back in 2021.
Testing your epigenetics is one of the coolest things you’ll ever do and learn about yourself.
