10 reasons I take PC (phosphatidylcholine)

On IG stories I often post myself drinking this brown goop that I put it in water. I just drop in a dollop and drink it. That’s a liposomal PC complex that I like— aka phosphatidylcholine. (Code = VIOLETFOG to save some moola)

It’s a game changer nutrient and one that I plan on taking forever.

If you learn similar to me- we like bullet point style, unique use cases, girl speak… so that’s how I’m going to break it down. By the end of it you should understand what it is and why I personally take it. Consider it a jumping off point for you to start researching it as well.

You should know I do work with BodyBio!! I hounded them down and begged for a partnership.

10 reasons I take phosphatidylcholine

First, My brain feels clearer. I’m someone who deals with soooo much mental clutter. This is helping that. Phosphatidylcholine (PC) is a main building block of brain cell membranes, this is KEY. You don’t even have to know what a membrane is, just know what when they are HEALTHY (And PC helps make them healthy) brain signaling feels smoother and clearer.

Second, it noticeably helps my ADHD symptoms. Kinda piggy backing off my first point but I want to elaborlate. Phosphatidylcholine delivers choline wrapped in a phospholipid- STICK WITH ME… a phospholipid is basically a type of FAT that makes up our brain cell walls. When our brain gets choline ALREADY PACKAGED the way our cells actually use it (wrapped in a phospholipid!) our focus feels steadier and less scattered. If I were to JUST TAKE CHOLINE it would be like giving my brain sugar (which it needs) but when it’s wrapped it a phospholipid (PC) it’s like giving my brain sugar AND fixing the wires aka cell membrane walls.

Third, again it IS different than just taking choline. Free choline supplements raise choline levels, but PC actually becomes part of the cell membrane itself, supporting both neurotransmitter signaling and brain cell structure. The brain loves choline. But it LOOOOOVES LOVES PC. I would rather than PC than choline.

Fourth, My memory is sharper. Now I gotta tell you my long term memory is insanely good as in it should be studied haha. But short term- I’m always forgetting names, where my keys are, what time that appointment was, that I had to bring XYZ with me, etc. My short term memory is definitely getting better. A reason could be that PC supports acetylcholine production (which powers memory, focus, learning) and membrane fluidity (aka keeping signaling in the brain working smoother)… In the past, studies have linked to improved memory and learning efficiency.

Fifth, It clears my brain fog. I know this is exactly like point one where I said I had mental clutter and now I have less but I just wanted to double down haha. Everyone told me that post partum when hormones are nuts and I’m getting little sleep that I would have intense brain fog. I truly think the PC is helping because while yes I am tired… oddly enough, my brain has never felt sharper. Like I can feel like I can actually learn something new right now. PC helps mitochondria function better by protecting it. Because mitochondria is surrounded by these membranes. When mitochondria is protected and doing well, information processing feels faster and less “static-y.”

Sixth, My liver loves it. PC is essential for bile formation and has been shown in studies to protect liver cells and help move fat out of the liver. Do you how common fatty liver is? It’s like 1 in 4 adults. The liver is like a storage unit too and I didn’t have the best diet growing up and unfortunately I’ve had to be on lots of medications all my life. So my liver needs help- regardless of how healthy I am today. Also, even if we’ve been healthy our whole lives the liver just gets taxed in present day with everything we are subjected to without our will.

BTW— Healthy bile flow is how your liver takes out the trash — hormones, toxins, and used-up stuff your body doesn’t need anymore. When bile flows well, your liver stays calm and efficient instead of backed up, inflamed, and sluggish.

Also you want your bile smooth and slippery not all thick and irriating. PC helps make the bile smooth and slippery.

Seventh- Detox FEELS smoother. Yes, piggy backing again on previous point. Better bile quality helps the body eliminate toxins and hormones more efficiently. This is how detox works! I swear my body can encounter more now and I have less “reaction” to it. Remember PC helps create that beautiful bile formation!

Eighth, It was supportive during pregnancy. Choline needs increase SIGNIFICANTLY during pregnancy, and research shows adequate intake supports fetal brain development and maternal cognition. The research in babies and kids and choline intake when mom was pregnant absolutely cannot be ignored. I wanted the cream of the crop baby! PC allllll day. I would never let myself not take in when pregnant. Me to my future self when God willing, I am pregnant again.

Ninth, My nervous system benefits from PC. Healthier cell membranes make nerve cells more resilient, which can improve stress tolerance and signaling. For real I am learning it’s all about the signaling being good. PC really does help with that. Hence why I say my mind feels sharper. And because my mind is sharper I just have a better handle on situations. Less reactive. Less cloudy. Knowing what I REALLY think because there’s less noise. Also, our nanny says she is getting the best sleep of her life after using PC. Just thought I’d let you know.

Tenth, overall stronger resiliency. Poor sleep, I am dealing with it. Back in the gym, I am dealing with it. Back at work, I am dealing with it. My body feels stronger. This is what my Dad and Dan say too about taking PC. Just overall more resilient because there are taking care of things at the core aka a cellular level.

PC is the sheeeeeit. ;)

If you want to try use code VIOLETFOG. I prefer the liquid over the caps because it’s one less step for the body but the caps are still good!
